On September 15th, 2023, the Dedication Ceremony for the Rowlett Industrial Distribution Building was held. University leadership, donors, faculty, researchers, and students attended this event. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to increase student and industry interactions, applied research and continued education opportunities.

“The ID program’s uniqueness comes from the relationship between education, industry, and community. The program, its students, the faculty, researchers, and its supporters, understand that Industrial Distribution carries a special connection with industry.

Our industry partners have supported us from the very beginning. Since its inception, the purpose of the program has been to provide a solid education for our students and empower them with concepts and create opportunities for practical application in the real world.

The ID program is a system of value creation, through the classes, guest speakers, Career Fairs, PAID, SWID, Sigma Delta, the Read Center, research organizations, the Global Supply Chain Laboratory, the Talent Incubator, the MID, the global distribution classes, Consortia, endowments, considerable funded research, recruitment events, publications, and much, much more.

We share this day with our industry partners, companies, supporters of the program, university leadership, our faculty, students, researchers, staff and many friends… We all are ID! this Program is a place for knowledge, leadership, excellence and value, and we have the purpose, the responsibility, and the commitment to provide a brilliant future for the next generations.”
