About
Dr. Yanling Chang is an Assistant Professor in Industrial Distribution Program. Her main areas of research are in information operations and management, purchasing and supplier selection, supply chain planning and management, and risk analysis. Her research has appeared in top-refereed journals and in conference proceedings. Currently, Dr. Chang are actively involved in designing and directing consortia for distributors (including small distributors). The focus of her research is to identify the best practices for distributors in process, human resources, and information capital development for an improved profitability, growth, and asset efficiency. Prior to joining Texas A&M, Dr. Chang has worked as a senior operations research consultant in the airline industry, where she designed several algorithms to determine the best practices for improving the robustness and resilience of flight schedules for several airlines. Education: Ph.D. in Operations Research, Georgia Institute of Technology, 2015 M.S. in Mathematics, Georgia Institute of Technology, 2014 B.S. in Electronic and Information Science and Technology, Peking University, China, 2005.
